Do you want an attractive, hard-wearing, modern driveway surface?
Then you might like our resin bound driveway, patio or path surfaces.
Resin bound is an attractive alternative to other more traditional types of driveway material. The gravel-like surface is eye catching, non slip and available in many colours, making the design possibilities limitless.
Resin bound can be combined with block paved edging in various different patterns, to create a truly bespoke look for your home and add instant kerb appeal.
How do we lay resin bound driveways in Surrey?
There are two common approaches to laying a resin driveway surface - resin bound and resin bonded. But what is the difference between the two?
- Resin Bound Driveways
To install a resin bound surface, the aggregate and the resin are mixed before application. This mixture is laid evenly and dries to a tough, level, uniform finish, which is solid to the touch and suitable for both vehicles and pedestrians. It also has the major advantage of being water permeable which makes it safer, longer lasting and better for your property's drainage. - Resin Bonded Driveways
With this less desirable technique, the resin is applied directly over the driveway, then an aggregate is pressed into the surface. This leads to a similar appearance to resin bound, but it is somewhat less even and chippings may loosen over time, reducing the attractiveness of the surface. Water also won’t permeate through a resin bond drive, which means drainage can often be an issue.
At Aesthetic Gardens & Drives Ltd we only offer a resin bound option for driveways, paths and patios, as we strongly believe this is the more advanced, reliable and long-lasting choice.
